Please know that your comfort is our number one concern. We use a variety of special anesthetic techniques to make the procedure comfortable and in fact most people find it fairly boring. And what about the big question, Will it Hurt? The short answer is No. ![]() This process is called Root Canal Treatment and allows you to save the tooth rather than having it extracted. The space created by the removal of the nerve is then filled and sealed. If the tooth is injured to the point that it causes pain, it may be necessary to remove the nerve to eliminate the pain or infection. It can come from several sources including deep cavities, deep fillings, crowns, cracks or trauma. Nerve injury usually involves infection and or inflammation. Inside of each tooth is living tissue and it is often called the nerve because it contains nerve tissue, When this nerve tissue is injured it causes pain.
